The objective of the 6 week course is to introduce basic skills and knowledge in hand sewing and pressing techniques as well as machine operation. Students will also acquire a basic knowledge of textiles, selection and adjustment of commercial patterns and techniques in garment cutting and construction.

Sewing Courses

One adult and 4 friends will enjoy a 3 hour fun-filled experience in our sewing parlor. You select which project you’ll make, and we’ll do the rest. Refreshments included.

Projects based upon sewing experience

Up to 5 Children from 7 - 16 years of age are introduced to the joys of sewing while celebrating milestones. Each child receives a “Make & Take” project. Reservations must be made at least 2 months in advance. Parents must remain with children.

A family that sews 2gether stays 2gether! This 3-hour class is designed for a child, between the ages of 7 and 16 years, with one adult to share the experience of learning how to sew.  Participants will have fun while creating their project and learning fun facts about the fashion industry.  Multiple levels of instruction are offered. No sewing experience required for level 1.

For Designers

SEW It's Morning Project Class

On Thursdays for three hours adult participants will have an opportunity to select from a variety of projects  such as aprons and scarves, Tote bags, and Home Decor.

During these two or three hour classes participants will make projects specific to the upcoming holiday. Classes Projects selected will be based upon sewing experience.

This course is designed for the student who is interest in only dressmaking. We offer beginner and advance levels.

During this 6 week course students will build on basic skills learned in SEW I and will acquired new skills associated with pant/skirt, dress or jacket construction. Adjustment techniques are taught to "customize" the commercial pattern.

Children ages 7 - 12 years learn the fundamentals of sewing and beyond. Participants select from a variety of projects. Classes meet on Fridays 4:00 - 6:00 pm for 4 weeks.

The Designer’s Parlor
Designers may rent our fully equipped facility by the hour. You provide the necessary fabrics and Notions. Our facility is fully equipped for those advanced participants who are in need of a space to be creative. No instruction available.

Fashion Industry Seminars
The fashion industry offers many avenues of interest. Seminars and workshops on various topics will be scheduled throughout the year. Seminar details will be posted on our website 2 months in advance.
